This special brew was Triumph's First Wednesday offering for March 2010. I always loved their Scotch Ale, and the barrel aging made it even better. On par with Founder's Backwoods Bastard

I love Scotch Ale, and at only 7.5% abv it is more like a session beer for me, and I wouldn't mind doing a whole session with this one.

Overall Score: 8.5

Value:

Cost/12 oz serving: $2.50 - Hey, it was happy hour!!! In bottles for home consumption it would be approx $1.75

Overall Impression:
A nice malty ale, that is very easy to drink, and a good value! Definitely Recommended! Due to the low hoppiness, low bitterness and malty goodness, this beer should go over very well with Newbeez.
